Passengers were glad to get an early morning departure out of UHMA. No night life out here on the edge of Siberia Sad Taxi lights show snow along the edges of the runway and the night sky peeks through the cloud cover.

Off we go into the wild black yonder as the rising sun climbs above the cloud layers and a thin sliver of moon rests on the horizon.

Nome, Alaska lies ahead in the land of the midnight sun.

Inland from Nome. Interesting greenish sky color, perhaps from the X-Graphics effects. Even though the sun is up, it is still not exactly "daylight" yet.

On descent into Anchorage (PANC) which lies just beyond the horizon. Murph said he likes mountains. Looks like a good place to get lost down there. ActiveSkyX is doing a good job of showing rock faces only on the steepest mountain sides.

On final, wheels down, ILS glideslope locked in, right on the beam. The new Patch2 for ActiveSkyX handles the distant haze much more realistically here. I doubt the shoreline below is that straight in real life, so Microsoft has some tweaking to do in this area maybe. Good flight, and my computer glitches seem to be solved.
