Flew another Dougherty's Dangerous flight out of Billings, MT into a little grass strip hacked out of pine trees. Here's a couple of shots:
Leaving Billings in the 172. Autogen was (I think) one notch short of maxed out here, so lots of buildings and trees:
Climbing out of Billings. Note the golf course over the right wing, and the very distant clouds and mountains at the top left of the shot. This is with terrain distance maxed out, 3D clouds on full density.
An interesting shot of early morning purple rays and ground steam coming from the geysers at Yellowstone:
